Ebb and Flow
Autumn has always held a special place in my heart, one of my two cherished seasons. To me, its spirit is about counting blessings and yielding to the year’s gentle close, surrounded by the golden glow of leaves in their last glorious display before they fade. This quiet signal invites us inward, guiding us toward a season of hibernation and renewal.
Nothing is ever fixed
There is a bittersweet beauty in letting go, a quiet pleasure in reflecting on both triumphs and stumbles. As we tuck away the vibrant energy of spring and summer, we drift gently toward Yin and the hush of winter. A soft melancholy accompanies the longer nights. Our thoughts turn inward, growing more contemplative as we reach for dreams yet to take shape. We begin to gather and replenish the energy spent over the year, quietly preparing for the promise spring will bring.
Review and Rewind
To encourage this inward shift, try a gentle ritual of reflection. Pause and journal with these prompts: What patterns or beliefs am I ready to let go of? Which successes can I savour and build upon, and what new intention do I wish to nurture and symbolically plant for spring’s return? Or simply close your eyes, breathe deeply and sigh out tension, repeating until you feel a softening within. Let your breath settle, keep your heart open, and allow new insights to quietly surface. Even a few tranquil minutes can reveal what you are ready to release and what you wish to carry forward. Practising this daily will strengthen your clarity and resolve.
Just Let Go
The world’s recent turbulence has made these months challenging for many, as instability and uncertainty have shaped our choices. Instead of reacting, it is essential to pause for inner stillness and reflection. This is a time for a final cleansing, to dissolve lingering grudges and hurts, and to emerge more authentically ourselves.
Inner coherence
Transformation does not happen overnight. If you have been living on adrenaline or on constant alert, it takes steady discipline and daily care to guide your body from chaos to calm. Try bathing in essential oils, using blends such as Resilience or Nirvana, practising daily Vagal Breathing with a spritz of Dream Moon mist, and finishing breathwork with gentle humming to help restore balance.
If you feel ready to release what no longer serves you, try this gentle letting-go ritual: Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Take a few slow, deep breaths and release with a sigh. As you inhale, focus on your breath even when thoughts and distractions pull you off course; simply return to following the breath. This one-pointed focus is the first step toward moving your body and mind into the moment.
Continue to embody calm and gentle clarity. As you breathe out, picture old hurts, relationships, disappointments, or grudges drifting away as autumn leaves on the wind. If it helps, imagine these feelings turning into golden light and dissolving. When you feel lighter, thank yourself for this act of self-kindness, and open your eyes when you are ready.
Hunker Down
Why not welcome comfort in this transition and prepare for it with intention? Settle into this in-between space, and once you have found a practice that helps you ease into gentle hibernation, let dream time offer inner guidance and purpose from the year’s journey. When I mention the 'quantum infinity of source,' I mean the endless creative potential within the field, a limitless well of wisdom and inspiration that reveals itself when we turn inward and listen deeply. Embrace the flow of autumn with grace, as if wrapped in a soft cashmere stole.
