Invisible Forces

Invisible Forces

Have you ever noticed how we tend to ignore our health until our bodies shout for attention? Suddenly, every ache and twinge feels urgent, and you find yourself wondering when illness slipped in, silent and unseen. I often hear clients insist, “But I’ve been really good, haven’t drunk or indulged for two days, honestly,” forgetting the series of late nights and celebrations that gently opened the door.

The truth is, we often miss the gentle nudges our bodies send us. Illness rarely bursts onto the scene; it slips in quietly, long before we notice, and suddenly it has you in its grip. This is why I find essential oils quite astounding—their antiviral and antibacterial properties work wonders, silently quashing invaders. Think of it: a bug never manifests when you're okay. Instead, it lies in wait until your defences are worn down, and stealthily slips in when your body is at its lowest ebb.

It Doesn't Just Happen

There are four levels that precede this seemingly sudden descent into ill health. Before the physical level is hit, there's the emotional level, which often signals that something's up. As your nervous system spins into overwhelm,  you may spiral into acute emotional sensitivity, whether it's tears and vulnerability, frustration, or irritability. Perhaps a deep restlessness leaves you unable to relax or to fall asleep. Here, there are soulful essential oils, like lavender, rose and neroli, that work to stabalise and soothe overwrought emotions.

Your Nervous System Says It All.

Preceding the emotional level is the mental level, perhaps you might notice yourself obsessing or getting caught up in work or external pressures, manically pushing through tiredness rather than taking time to rest and recharge. You can easily become judgmental, or rigid, and hyper-critical. Certainly, by using blends of oils like sweet basil, rosemary, and clary sage, you can ease yourself out of a high-adrenal state, soothing the myriad of thoughts hijacking your brain.

Inner Coherence

Beyond these layers lies the spiritual realm, often unnoticed yet finely tuned to your well-being and always the first to sense when something is off. At its heart, it is about spirit, purpose, inspiration, and zest for life. Look closer, and you discover the body’s most sensitive alarm system: the energetic body and its intricate, subtle anatomy. Each endocrine gland in your body is paired with an energetic centre, or chakra, which acts like a finely tuned radio receiver, picking up subtle shifts and anomalies in the environment around you.

Surrounding your body is the Auric field, an energetic counterpart that shimmers just beyond our skin, which can expand and contract and is entirely dependent on circumstances. With the advent of Kirlian photography, we can now glimpse this field and its vibrant colours, often revealing disturbances before they reach the physical body.

Spiritual Hygiene

Everything you absorb physically and emotionally, whether it is too many drugs or alcohol, too much stress, trauma, fear or the energy of a heated conversation, sends ripples through this delicate energetic flow. Some people can sense, or even see, the aura, and it is here that certain essential oils truly shine. Their unique frequencies help cleanse and harmonise these fields, oils like Frankincense, Ravensara and Myrtle.

Essential oils offer a dual gift: their molecules nurture our physical and emotional well-being, while their subtle vibrations influence the Pineal gland, unlocking a gateway to deeper awareness and consciousness. When you utilise these potent oils at a Quantum level, you suddenly begin to work with the infinite. This means you are not constrained by a linear time frame; anything is possible.

Spiritual Maintenance

Spiritual defence is much like physical immunity; it is about learning to protect and cleanse your most sensitive inner tool. By weaving spiritual hygiene into your daily routine, you become more attuned to subtle energetic shifts, catching them before they ever take hold in your body.

Here is a simple daily spiritual hygiene practice.

Take 10 minutes daily to release any feelings of anxiety or fear, write fast and viscerally, and most of all, do not self-edit.

Create three mantras

I love my infinite self

Everything is possible

My purpose is clear.

Repeat each one four times.

Meditate

Sit and meditate ideally in nature, and reflect quietly, and say

“I cleanse my field with pure love and light. Repeat for 10 minutes.

Ground

If you have an outdoor space and imagine standing as a tree with roots in the ground, strong yet flexible for 5 minutes.

Night Ritual
